JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:  HEAD OF SALES & MARKETING

REPORTS TO:  MANAGING DIRECTOR

PLANNED HIRING DATE:  MARCH 2016

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a management position at the Department Head Level. The Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the creation, development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans designed to materialize the bank’s current and future products and services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to maximize the effectiveness and efficient operation of the Marketing & Sales Department, the Marketing & Sales Manager shall:

  • Plan, provide strategic planning, develop and implement an annual marketing plan,
    while ensuring timely and effective execution of planned sales and marketing
    activities;
  • Identify key market segments, according to the bank’s corporate strategy, and plan sales
    and marketing strategies relative to each target market;
  • Sell and cross-sell banking products to targeted market segments;
  • Develop, implement and maintain result oriented performance evaluation and quality
    assurance programs to continually measure the effectiveness, productivity, and
    performance of the marketing and sales team and individual staff;
  • Maintain a challenged, directed, trained, informed and motivated sales and marketing
    team while achieving interdepartmental needs and priorities;
  • Develop annual departmental goals and objectives that are in alignment with AGD Bank’s
    mission and vision;
  • Continually provide administrative support, guidance and direction to the sales and
    marketing team achieving harmony and respect among the staff, both within the department as well as throughout the bank;
  • Liaise with the Corporate and Retail Banking Department heads with an objective to ensure
    effective planning and coordination of products while understanding the clients’ expectations and responsiveness;
  • Provide after sales service that exceeds clients’ expectations.

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal training and understanding of professional and fundamental commercial marketing
    sales, promotional and public relations techniques;
  • Proven marketing, promotions and administrative skills with a minimum of four (4)
    years of sales and marketing experience;
  • Basic knowledge about banking products and services;
  • Enthusiasm and responsiveness relative to being a part of AGD Bank’s team and to meet, at a minimum, the duties and responsibilities of the position;
  • Excellent administrative/ management skills, to maintain a challenged, directed, trained,
    informed and motivated (energized) sales and marketing team while achieving
    interdepartmental needs and priorities;
  • Excellent people and communication skills to maintain meaningful business relationships
    with clients, customers, industry executives and international marketing
    representatives;
  • Public speaking and business writing skills;
  • Creativity and ability to think ‘outside-the-box’;
  • Abilities to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
